Ultimate Frisbee has been around for more than 20 years in Indonesia. It initially started in Jakarta prior to 1998, then quickly spread to Bali, where one of the oldest tournaments in Southeast Asia was born. The Nusantara Cup has been held every year in Bali since 1999 and attracts international teams from across Asia and Oceania.
In August 2017, the Indonesian team “Garudas” took part in its first official WFDF tournament, AOUGCC in Manila, Philippines, placing 23rd out of 28 teams in the mixed division.
In October 2017, the Garudas took part in TRIO invitational tournament where it placed 10th out of the 16 teams that competed.
In June 2019, Garudas represented Indonesia at the Malaysia Ultimate Open. For the first time, the team was made up of a majority Indonesian players.
We currently have pickup communities in Bali, Jakarta, Malang, and Surabaya.
